Post-renovation cleanup

From handover dust to move-in ready, in a single intensive visit.

A four-person crew, a written 87-point checklist, and an honest reckoning with the layer of builder dust that settles inside cabinet hinges, behind power sockets and inside the tracks of every sliding door.

Why post-renovation is its own service

Ordinary cleaning does not undo the renovation.

A regular maintenance visit assumes the home is already broadly clean. Post-renovation is a different animal: the contractors have packed up two weeks ago, the dust has settled into every horizontal surface, and there are blobs of paint on the inside lip of doors, sealant residue on basin rims, and a film of cement leachate on grouting.

It is also the only chance you will have to reach certain places easily — the inside of empty wardrobes, the underside of kitchen cabinets, the back of bathroom mirrors — before furniture is moved in and curtains are hung. Get this visit right and the home stays cleaner for years.

We do not subcontract post-renovation work. The same Bayleaf team that handles your maintenance visits also runs the cleanup. It means you meet your future crew at the very start.

Common questions

Post-renovation things people ask us.

How soon after the builders leave should we book?

Ideally within 7 to 14 days. If you wait longer, dust starts to bond with humidity and becomes much harder to remove from porous surfaces, particularly bathroom grouting and laminate edges.

Will you remove builder rubbish from the site?

No. Builder waste should leave with the builder. We will tidy what is left behind — paper, dust sheets, masking tape — but bulky debris is the contractor's responsibility under standard renovation handover terms.

Do you offer a guarantee on the result?

Yes. If anything is missed you flag it within 48 hours and we return at no charge. We honour this approximately three to four times per quarter. It is built into our pricing.

Can you coordinate with my interior designer or builder?

Yes, and we encourage it. The supervisor can liaise directly with your project manager to confirm the visit happens after the final sign-off but before the furniture delivery.

What about pre-occupation pest treatment?

We do not hold a Ministry of Health pest control licence. We work with two licensed partners and can introduce you, but the contract for treatment is between you and them.

Renovation wrapping up?

Send us the unit address, the handover date and your move-in window. We will book the visit so you walk into a clean home.
