What this service is

Deep cleaning of soft furnishings without moving them out.

Hot-water extraction (often called steam cleaning) injects a warm cleaning solution into the fibre, agitates it, then immediately vacuums the slurry back out under high suction. The technique reaches deeper than dry-foam methods and is gentler on natural fibre than scrub-only approaches.

We bring a 60-litre portable extractor, a buffer machine for stubborn floor rugs, and a small fleet of microfibre rinse cloths. The whole kit fits through a standard condo door.

For mattresses we use a slightly different protocol — low moisture, antimicrobial rinse, plus a dust-mite vacuum pass — to keep the core foam dry.

Fabric sofas

Two and three-seaters, modular sets and chaise longues. We brush, pre-treat, extract and rinse. Touch-dry in 4 hours, fully dry in 8 to 12.

Mattresses

Low-moisture protocol designed for memory foam and pocket-spring constructions. Includes dust-mite vacuum pass on both sides where access permits.

Floor rugs

Wool, cotton, jute and most synthetics. We move furniture, fold and lift the piece, then work it on the hard floor. Re-laid before we leave.

Wall-to-wall carpet

Less common in Malaysian homes but found in some bungalows. We work room-by-room, lifting furniture as we go.

Dining chairs

Upholstered seats and backrests. Often grouped with a sofa visit. Treated on a covered surface, fully dry within four hours.

Office chairs

Mesh-back and fabric-upholstered task chairs at home offices. Cleaned in-situ. Particularly useful for households with dust-mite sensitivity.

Common questions about upholstery work.

How long until the sofa is usable again?

Touch-dry within 4 hours, sitting-on dry within 6 to 8 hours, fully dry overnight. Open the windows and run a ceiling fan to accelerate the process. We never use a hairdryer on natural fibre — it sets stains.

Will old stains come out?

Sometimes. Coffee, sweat and food usually respond well. Set-in red wine, ink, curry oil and dye transfer rarely come out fully. We send a pre-visit photo questionnaire so we can give a realistic forecast.

Can you clean leather sofas?

We clean and condition smooth-grain leather. We do not work on nubuck or suede — those need specialised solvents and we would rather refer you to a specialist.

What about pet odour?

We include a light enzymatic treatment when pets live in the home. For persistent urine odour on mattresses, you may need replacement — the smell penetrates to the core foam and chemistry cannot reach it.

Do you guarantee no shrinkage?

For synthetic and most cotton blends, yes. Wool and very old silk rugs are inspected and discussed before treatment. If we cannot guarantee no shrinkage, we tell you and you decide.
